Concerts, conferences, exhibitions and performances 2026

School of Arts will host, on April 30 at 6:30 PM, at the Auditório Ilídio Pinho, the artist and visiting professor at SoA, João Pimenta Gomes, for a concert as part of the Art + Tech x Cosmos = program.

Solo for Cristal Baschet, Mellotron and Ondes Martenot is a performance centered on the combination of the three instruments, exploring their timbral and resonant possibilities. The work brings together acoustic, electronic, and mechanical sound in a continuous sonic trajectory between matter, amplification, and duration.

Art + Tech x Cosmos =
The program brings together artists, creative technologists, curators, writers, and thinkers whose contributions span multiple thematic constellations: from the spiritual and the mythical, sociotechnical infrastructures and (de)colonial logics, to speculative futures. Through these contributions, the program explores the potential to reshape how we think about human and non-human creativity, how we experience the convergence of art and technology, and how their imaginative possibilities can inspire new cultural practices and worlds.
