International Migrants Day Conference

Monday, December 18, 2023 - 14:00 - Monday, December 18, 2023 - 17:00

Sala de Exposições

We live in a unique time in history, with an increasingly globalized world in which millions of people are restarting their lives for multiple reasons, from fleeing military conflicts and repressive regimes to imperatives arising from economic difficulties, environmental issues or the simple search for better living conditions.

Worldwide, there are 272 million migrants, including more than 41 million internally displaced people. Therefore, on December 18, International Migrants Day, a conference will be held, in English, focusing precisely on the importance of the challenges facing migrants today.

For this purpose, UCP professors and researchers working on these topics have been invited to present their work and deepen the debate. A Q&A session will follow each presentation, also open to Talents for Good, an online international community of researchers.

We are therefore pleased to invite all those interested to attend the International Migrants Day Conference, which will take place at the Sala de Exposições of UCP, on December 18th, between 2 pm and 5 pm.
