International Microorganism Day

The Faculty of Biotechnology is opening its doors for the fourth edition of International Microorganism Day.

This event is dedicated to celebrating the importance of microbes in our lives, with a full day of scientific exploration.

Researchers will demonstrate and explain the role of different microorganisms in the environment (water and soil), food (production and safety), and health (gut and skin microbiomes), among other areas.

A true celebration of microbiology in all its dimensions — from environmental, food, and health to industrial applications.

The event is open to primary schools in the morning and secondary schools in the afternoon.
