On February 19, the new exhibition of the Galeria Fundação Amélia de Mello of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Silence in Pieces: 4 Acts, was inaugurated. The exhibition can be visited through one of the following channels:

Silence in pieces: 4 acts is a group exhibition curated by the students of the Curatorship Seminar of the international Master's and PhD programme in Cultural Studies of The Lisbon Consortium of the Faculty of Humanities of the Portuguese Catholic University.

The main goal of the Curatorship Seminar is to reflect and act upon the transformative potential of art and curatorial practices in society. Based on research practices, the fourth edition of this seminar was developed from the specificity of the work of four contemporary artists - Ana Vidigal; Elyiah Mesayer; Katharina Lackner; and Tatiana Macedo - whose production the students followed throughout the Semester.

In any of the four cases - of the chapters of this (these) narrative(s) - what we see and hear is not silence, but rather its impossibility. In other words, we perceive that the stories that are silenced, the micronarratives that are left unsaid constitute as much of History as the great narratives that remain (re)known as truth.
