The seminar “Theology and Science Today: Epistemological Questions”, organised by the  Research Centre for Theology and Religious Studies (CITER), will take place on 1 October at 10:00 am, in a hybrid format.

The seminar “Theology and Science Today: Epistemological Issues” offers to students and researchers a point of encounter and debate, from the vantage point of a shared Christian consciousness of the importance of a sustained dialogue between different areas of knowledge and of the opportunity for further developments, with theology assuming an active role.

Adrian Lemeni is a professor and researcher in theology at the University of Bucharest. His academic work focuses on the contemporary dialogue between Orthodox theology, philosophy, and science and Christian apologetics. As a former State Secretary for Religious Affairs in Romania, responsible for the elaboration and implementation of the Law of Religious Freedom, Dr. Lemeni has developed sustained activity in the area of religious freedom, religious diversity, and religious and theological education in a multi-faith context.
