Conference “A new look on moral reasoning” with Fr. James Keenan

On December 2, the conference "A new look on moral reasoning" will take place with the guest speaker Fr. James Keenan, Vice Provost for Global Engagement at Boston College, UCP's partner institution in the Strategic Alliance of Catholic Research Universities (SACRU).

This conference is part of the series Building Bridges, which aims to bring into dialogue topics such as natural sciences, contemporary art and moral reasoning under the premise: How can religion and the Catholic church be relevant to art, ethics, and science in order to contribute to the development of a fair and human society?

This event, which will be held in English, is dedicated to discussing the concepts of "Vulnerability" and "Recognition" in the construction of more collaborative and responsible societies.

Fr. James Keenan is also Director of the Jesuit Institute at Boston College, having founded in 2003 Catholic Theological Ethics in the World Church, an international network of over 1500 Catholic ethicists.

UCP invites all members of the academic community to participate in the event, which has free entrance.
