Conference ‘Literacy and Deafness in the 21st Century’

Joana Rato, PhD in Health Sciences and Assistant Professor at FCSE-UCP, will be one of the guest speakers at the conference entitled Literacy and Deafness in the 21st Century, organised by the Hearing Department of the Portuguese Speech Therapy Society.

The event, which will take place on 12 October, aims to improve the reading and writing skills of children with deafblindness by providing trainees with knowledge of best practices for successful literacy.

Recipients: Speech therapists, speech therapy students, educators and special education teachers, audiologists, family members of children with deafblindness and adults with deafblindness.
