The Faculty of Biotechnology at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa – Porto (ESB) is organizing the conference "Food Safety: Perspectives and Prospects", marking the beginning of the celebrations for its 40th anniversary.

Also celebrating World Food Day, this event is a unique opportunity to discuss the importance of ensuring safe, nutritious, and accessible food for all in a world facing major challenges.

In 1984, ESB launched the pioneering Bachelor’s Degree in Food Engineering. Over four decades, the Faculty trained professionals who have transformed the food industry. Today, the the faculty's graduates lead significant innovations in the sector and inspire the next generation to continue this legacy of innovation and excellence.
