The International Conference Competition Law Challenges in Digital Markets, organised by the Faculty of Law - Porto School, Porto Regional Centre, UCP, takes place on 9 July 2022.
The event is included in the training course for judges - The Enforcement of Competition Law in Times of Crisis - which is funded by the European Commission and supported by the Judicial Studies Centre.
The aim of the project is to give national judges detailed knowledge of key competition law issues (antitrust rules, state aid control and private enforcement, and the application of antitrust rules to regulated industries), as well as the practical utility of these matters, enabling national judges to apply EU law correctly.
It also ensures the coherent and consistent application of EU competition rules - namely Articles 101, 102 , 107 and 108 of the TFEU, and private enforcement rules - by national courts and to promote a competition culture with the continuous implementation of the "Observatory on the Application of Competition Law".
