Cimeira de Segurança 2025

The 2025 Security Summit of the Institute for Political Studies of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa is an academic event dedicated to reflection and debate on major issues of international security and global cooperation.

Designed as an academic simulation of international summits, the Security Summit brings together students from the IEP and invited schools to discuss contemporary challenges to world peace and stability.

Inspired by the conference model of NATO's North Atlantic Council (NAC), the initiative aims to promote understanding of global governance mechanisms, strategic thinking and the active participation of young people in international debate.

Following the success of its first edition in 2024, the second edition of the Summit, which will take place on 5 December, is dedicated to the theme: ‘War in Cyberspace and the Challenges to Collective Security’.
