CEO's Breakfast Series @CatólicaLisbon | "Responsible Business: Next source of competitive advantage?"

Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics is launching the "CEO's Breakfast Series @CatólicaLisbon", a new initiative that intends to bring together periodically a group of reputed CEO's around a table to have breakfast, while reflecting and sharing good practices, strengthening the link between the academic and corporate worlds, with the goal of creating a community of leaders. In an informal environment and for approximately 90 minutes, relevant global themes and trends will be discussed, presented by recognised experts in the field.

The first session will be conducted by Nuno Moreira da Cruz and will take place on March 1st, at 8:30 am, with a theme of enormous impact at the present time: "Responsible Business: Next source of competitive advantage?".

There is a widespread recognition that being a "Responsible Business" has become an unstoppable macro trend, and there is a general understanding of the importance for companies to increasingly incorporate social and environmental concerns into the definition of their business strategies. The "Business Case for Action" is increasingly clearer, and if the entire ecosystem of the company's stakeholders is "worked", it is easy to anticipate that sustainability (understood in its most holistic sense) will become a source of competitive advantage for companies that are able to understand it already today.
