Celebration of Universidade Católica Portuguesa's Day

The National Day of the Portuguese Catholic University is celebrated on the first Sunday of February, with the solemn session on the previous Friday. 

This year, and under the motto "Science at the Service of the Common Good", the solemn session will take place on February 1, at 4:30 p.m., in the Cardinal Medeiros Auditorium and will be presided over by His Eminence the Most Reverend Chancellor, D. Manuel Clemente.

The program of this session includes the imposition of Insignias and the presentation of doctoral letters to the doctors who obtained their degree in 2018, the awarding of medals to officials who completed 25 years of service at the University in 2018 and the presentation of the gold medal to Canon João Seabra.

On the following Sunday, February 3, the Eucharistic celebration will be presided by the Prefect of the Congregation for Catholic Education - Cardinal Giuseppe Versaldi - in the Church of Santa Isabel in Lisbon, with transmission by Radio Renascence and TVI. 

The Rector's Office of the Portuguese Catholic University invites all UCP's Academic Community and their guests to participate in this celebration.
