Business in Europe Framework for Income Taxation (BEFIT)

João Felix Pinto Nogueira will be one of the experts invited to a public hearing on BEFIT - Business in Europe: Framework, on 25 January, between 9.30am and 1pm, in an online format.

This is the European Commission's latest proposal for the reform of corporate taxation which, if approved, will lead to harmonisation of the calculation of the tax base for these taxes at EU level.

The purpose of the hearing is to contribute to the technical and political debate on this Commission proposal, while also providing guidelines that the Committee can incorporate into its recommendations to European legislators. This invitation came about as part of the research carried out by the lecturer.
