Bioethics Summer Course 2025 - Bioethics Institute

The Universidade Católica Portuguesa, through its Institute of Bioethics, proudly presents the Bioethics Summer Course 2025, a dynamic forum for critical reflection and interdisciplinary dialogue on the pressing ethical challenges of our time.

This Summer School runs from 14 to 18 July 2025.

In an era of rapid scientific and technological transformation, this five-day course offers a single opportunity to integrate knowledge with values, encouraging ethical, humanistic, and responsible education. Rooted in the foundational ideas of bioethics, from Van Rensselaer Potter to André Hellegers, and inspired by the philosophical legacy of Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Ricoeur, Levinas, and others, the program bridges science, culture, and conscience, always placing the dignity of the human person at the heart of ethical analysis.
