Galeria Fundação Amélia de Mello | UCP | Lisboa - Sede

Until 12 December, Universidade Católica Portuguesa is hosting one of the exhibition venues for the Art Cut Triennial, which is also on display at the National Museum of Contemporary Art (MNAC) in Chiado and at Brotéria in Bairro Alto.

With Nuno Crespo, who is also director of the School of Arts, as chief curator, the ART CUT Triennial is an international initiative, inspired by the Holy See’s Dicastery for Culture and Education and organised in Portugal by the Portuguese Catholic University. It will take place throughout 2026 and 2027 in eight cities across seven countries, bringing together Catholic universities and over 100 artists and works, selected by the 14 curators involved in this project. The ART CUT Triennial centres on the overarching concept of “Exercises in Empathy”, which is then interpreted and explored through various ‘exercises’ in each of the cities where it takes place.

The ART CUT Triennial will be on display at the Amélia de Mello Foundation Gallery, at the Catholic University, until 12 December, Monday to Friday, from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm, with free admission.
