Advanced Course in European Studies

The Instituto de Estudos Políticos (IEP), in collaboration with the Instituto Universitário Militar (IUM), is organising the first edition of the Advanced Course in European Studies, between November 16 and 27.

The Advanced Course in European Studies (CAEE) seeks to:

• Train participants in the field of the institutional architecture of the European Union;
• Promote a thorough understanding of the EU's internal decision-making processes, particularly in the context of the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) and the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP);
• Analyse the security challenges faced by the EU in relation to other geographical areas and actors.
