2nd Cycle of Seminars on Integration into Professional Life

Monday, May 20, 2024 - 10:00

Formato Híbrido | UCP | Centro Regional do Porto

The School of Nursing in Porto at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) organises a series of themed seminars every year on professional experiences in areas where nurses work, in order to enable its final-year students to make their future choices on the basis of reliable information about professional practice.

In these seminars, as well as learning from the various lecturers, the students are also organisers, thus preparing themselves for an active and intervening future professional life in the context of sharing disciplinary knowledge.

6th Seminar - "Nursing and Specialisation: Rehabilitation Nursing"

Rehabilitation is a multidisciplinary area of intervention focused on maximising the functional potential and independence of human beings. Rehabilitation Nursing, as an area of specialised nursing skills, could be one of the many choices that new graduate nurses will be able to make in the future.

With this in mind, the sixth seminar on Integration into Professional Life in 2024, organised by the final year students of the Nursing Degree course at the School of Nursing (Porto), has the theme of "Nursing and Specialisation: Rehabilitation Nursing" and will be attended by:

  • Rehabilitation in an Intensive Care Unit | Nurse Claudia Veiga
  • Rehabilitation in an Inpatient Unit | Nurse Ana Teresa
  • Rehabilitation in a Paediatric Palliative Care Unit | Nurse Ana França
