1st edition of the Post-Doc Lounge

The Research Centre for Communication and Culture, UCP, organises the 1st session of the Post-Doc Lounge on the 4th November, at 5.30 p.m. In a round-table format, the event aims to address the possible challenges and opportunities early career researchers might face during the first ten years after completing their doctoral studies.

The session that will feature Peter Hanenberg, Vice-Rector of UCP, Nelson Ribeiro, Dean of the Faculty of Human Sciences (FCH), and Ioli Campos, Diana Gonçalves, and Alexandra Lopes, professors at FCH, will be a space for sharing experiences and points of view on issues related to the development of the post-doctoral path.

What are the possible paths to follow after defending the doctoral thesis? What is expected from a post-doctoral researcher? What are the most important selection criteria in applications for postdoctoral positions? What are the possible careers in the sphere of the Humanities in Portugal? These are some of the topics to be discussed at the event.
