Creativity Week is an interdisciplinary event organised by Universidade Católica Portuguesa within the Transform4Europe Alliance. It brings together students, researchers, academics and external stakeholders to explore creativity, philosophy, artificial intelligence and human transformation.
The programme includes three main activities:
- Creativity Summer School: 12–16 October 2026, with an online session on 8 October.
- Thinking Creativity: An International PhD Conference in Philosophy: 12–14 October 2026.
- Matchmaking for Excellence: 15–16 October 2026.

Yes. Minor adjustments may occur throughout the week. Any important changes will be updated directly on the programme and by the organising team.
The Summer School programme includes the PhD Conference and Matchmaking for Excellence.
Participants are expected to follow their designated programme to receive the 3 ECTS.
Creativity Week takes place at Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Braga, Portugal.

If travelling from abroad, Porto Airport is a convenient international arrival point. Braga can be reached from Porto by train, bus or car.
Please head to the Registration / Helpdesk at the main atrium of Católica’s Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences’ main building, where the organising team will welcome you, confirm your registration and provide the necessary event information.

Yes. Lunches, morning and afternoon coffee breaks are included in the programme, for those participating in the Creativity Week, in the Summer School, PhD Conference and/or Matchmaking modalities.
Please contact the organising team at creativityweek.braga@ucp.pt, or visit the Helpdesk during the event, so we can assist you with the available accessibility arrangements.
October in Braga is generally mild, but rainfall is common. We recommend bringing a light jacket, comfortable shoes and an umbrella.
You can help reduce the environmental impact of Creativity Week 2026 by:
- Walking or using public transport whenever possible.
- Bringing a reusable water bottle.
- Reducing unnecessary waste and using recycling facilities.
- Avoiding unnecessary printing and using digital event materials.

The Transcript of Records will be issued by the Academic Services of Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Braga and sent to participants in both digital and physical formats within six weeks of the start of Creativity Week.
Please note that a Certificate of Stay, a Certificate of Participation and a Transcript of Records serve different purposes.
For Summer School participants requiring a Transcript of Records, this will be provided in case you are approved in the approved by the professors who are evaluating you in your respective Challenge. This will be emitted by Braga’s Católica Academic Services and sent to you digitally and fisically within 1 month and a half passed the Creatviity Weeks initial date.
Please note that a Certificate of Stay, a certificate of participation and a Transcript of Records serve different purposes.For Summer School participants, a Transcript of Records will be issued upon successful completion of their respective Challenge, subject to a positive assessment by the responsible academic staff.
