Universidade Católica Portuguesa reaffirms its support to GivingTuesday, a global solidarity movement that calls on the world to unite in giving back to social causes.
Celebrated intentionally on the first Tuesday after Black Friday and fueled by the power of social media and collaboration, GivingTuesday inspires millions of people around the world to give back to causes that are relevant to them.
Several students from Católica will actively participate in the distribution of meals with the association Re-Food - Benfica. An initiative of the Católica Lisbon Students Union.

To mark International Volunteer Day, on December 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Universidade Católica Portuguesa is organizing a Christmas Solidarity Market Entrance in the hall on floors 0 and 1 of the Library Building (next to the Auditorium Cardeal Medeiros ). The aim of this initiative is to provide a place for the presentation and fundraising of the partner organisations of the VIDA Project - Volunteering at Católica.
On December 14, students from Católica Medical School who are members of the Glee Club will go to nursing homes and associations to perform small concerts. At 2:30 pm, they will gather at the Paço do Lumiar social centre for the Christmas concert.
At the Christmas dinner of the Institute of Political Studies, the Academic Association of the IEP will sell raffle tickets with the entire value reverting to the Just a Change Association.

During the Faculty of Human Sciences' Christmas Gala, students will be raising funds and food items to create a basket that will later be delivered to the House for refugee children.
