On 2 February, Universidade Católica is organising the conference "Origins and content of the Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together", on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the Document on Human Fraternity, the International Day of Human Fraternity, marked on 4 February.

For Inês Espada Vieira, professor and Coordinator of the Refugee Student Support Initiative at Católica, responsible for organizing the event, the document in question is: "of today and for today. Signed by Pope Francis and the great imam of Al-Azhar (Cairo, Egypt), Ahmad al-Tayyeb, its words inspire interreligious dialogue and the encounter of men and women of goodwill."

As such, the session will feature Peter Stilwell, director of the Department for Ecumenical and Interreligious Dialogue of the Patriarchate of Lisbon, as a speaker, who will address the topic "with knowledge of the origins and content of this important Document", explains the professor.

Open to the entire academic community, the session will take place in room 131 of the headquarters of the Universidade Católica, in Lisbon, from 3pm to 4.30pm, and will be held entirely in English.
