Universidade Católica Portuguesa takes part in the Canadian Bureau for International Education Conference
Universidade Católica Portuguesa was represented by Catarina Mendes, from the Global Engagement Office, Adriana Martins, from the Faculty of Human Sciences, and Débora Oliveira, from the Católica Medical School, as part of the Portuguese delegation that, through the initiative of the Embassy of Canada in Portugal, marked this year the first joint participation of national Higher Education Institutions and the National Erasmus+ Agency in this prestigious international event.
Under the theme “The Future in Focus: Advancing International Education in Times of Uncertainty”, the conference brought together over 1,000 participants from 26 countries, fostering discussions on new strategies for global collaboration, with an emphasis on sustainability, inclusion, and innovation in Higher Education.
On the occasion of the conference, the Embassy of Canada in Portugal also organised an institutional visit programme dedicated to the theme of Artificial Intelligence, which included visits to the Mila – Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute, HEC Montréal, McGill Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship, and IVADO Labs, offering participants a first-hand experience of the dynamic Canadian innovation and research ecosystem.
