Statement of Condolence on the passing of Professor Walter Osswald, PhD

"The Universidade Católica is saddened to announce the death of Professor Walter Osswald, who was one of the founders of the Porto Regional Centre, driving forward work in the field of Health Sciences, heading the Institute of Bioethics, and serving the community as Ethics Ombudsman. He never hesitated to contribute, with great sensitivity and a strong sense of duty, to proposals for the development of the CRP and the University as a whole. His critical thinking was always combined with a responsible commitment to the Church’s role in society and to the University’s mission.

On the day of his return to the Father’s house, the Universidade Católica extends its heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. His memory will live on vividly amongst us.
