President of Católica meets with the Secretary-General of the United Nations

The meeting between Isabel Capeloa Gil, President of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations Organisation, held in New York on 16 June, was an opportunity to present the International Federation of Catholic Universities, of which she is President, and to discuss strategies for higher education.

The meeting was marked by a debate on concrete strategies for the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education "Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all", at a time when higher education is becoming a factor of growing inequality. It was in this context that the President disclosed the Ser Capaz Programme.
