GPS: Psychology in Motion inspires high school students at Católica Porto Teen Academy
What is psychology for? What is the role of the psychologist? And what are its areas of intervention? With their bags packed, dozens of secondary school students headed to the Faculty of Education and Psychology (FEP) to participate in the "GPS: Psychology on the Move" programme of the Católica Porto Teen Academy.
From 4 to 7 July, participants had the opportunity to discover the importance of Psychology, as well as the role played by psychologists today and in different contexts of action. Students from the 10th to the 12th grades delved into topics such as anxiety management in a sports context, the importance of psychological well-being in the workplace or the contribution of psychologists in a forensic context. Among other activities, they participated in a challenging Geocaching through the Católica Porto campus, an Escape Room and the possibility of simulating a psychological consultation.
