Católica and Renascença celebrate World Radio Day

To celebrate the World Radio Day, on February 13th, students from Universidade Católica participated, during the morning, in the simultaneous broadcasting of the three radios from Renascença Multimédia group.

The programs from RFM (Café da Manhã) and Mega Hits (Snooze) joined the Tres da Manhã, from Renascença, in this All Stars Radio Show.

Ana Galvão, Inês Lopes Gonçalves, Joana Marques, Joana Cruz, Rodrigo Gomes, Daniel Fontoura, Alexandre Guimarães, Inês Nogueira and Joana Sequeira hosted this party to celebrate radio.

At the end of the visit, Mariana Pereira, 2nd year student of the bachelor degree in Social and Cultural Communication of the Faculty of Human Sciences (FCH) said that she really enjoyed seeing the dynamics of this emission and the "how a radio programme is built".

Marta Vieira, also a second year student, said she really enjoyed "getting to know the hosts of the three radio stations and the way they interact to deliver information to their listeners."

Fascinated with what they saw live, the students from Católica added that in the future they would love to do radio.

But the celebrations of this day do not end here and during the afternoon, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., the Drive In programme, by Mega Hits, will be broadcast live from the headquarters of Católica in Lisbon. The radio hosts Ana Pinheiro, Catarina Palma and Luís Pinheiro, Católica alumni, will return to their alma mater to celebrate the day of this important means of communication.
