Workshop | Detection and quantification of antibiotic resistance in water

The Faculty of Biotechnology of the Porto Regional Centre, of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, is organizing a workshop on "Detection and quantification of antibiotic resistance in water", on May 4, at 10:00 a.m.

This workshop, dedicated to professionals in the areas of water treatment and analysis, aims to expose the problem, but also the importance of monitoring a special group of emerging contaminants, antibiotic resistant bacteria and antibiotic resistance genes in water.

The participants will have the opportunity to get in touch with some of the methodologies considered to be the most appropriate for the detection and quantification of these emerging contaminants, and to discuss their application in real scenarios.

Target public: Water treatment and analysis technicians

Places are limited to 15 participants. In case the number of registrants exceeds the number of vacancies, preference will be given to professionals active in the area of water treatment and analysis.
