Microorganisms International Day 2026

The School of Biotechnology at the Universidade Católica  is organising the 5th International Microorganism Day, featuring experiments on the role of microorganisms in food, the environment and health, on 22 September 2026.

"Microorganisms" are running loose at the Faculty of Biotechnology, in the fifth edition of this event dedicated to "microbes" and their importance in our lives. In a day full of scientific experiments, our researchers will demonstrate and explain the role of various microorganisms in the environment (water and soil), in food (food production and food safety), and in health (gut and skin microbiome), among others.
