Giving Tuesday - A day of giving

Giving Tuesday (a day of giving) comes from a very simple idea: a day when the whole world comes together to give, using social networks to inspire everyone to be generous. It’s celebrated worldwide on December 3 and comes immediately after two days dedicated to consumption – Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

On this day, Portugal will be challenged to join what is already the largest solidarity movement in the world and to donate, in any way possible, whether in money, in goods, in talent, time or availability. Portuguese society will be invited to participate in this solidarity chain.

Universidade Católica Portuguesa is already participating in this solidarity movement, Giving Tuesday. To help, you can contribute to the Campaigns of Comunidade Vida e Paz, Mundo a Sorrir and Associação Projeto Crescer.

Similar to what has been the case in more than 55 countries that have already joined this movement, the launch in Portugal of Giving Tuesday, on December 3, is expected to be welcomed with great enthusiasm by all sectors of society and to have a very significant social impact.
