Decellularized cardiac and pancreatic matrices offer a sustainable and highly promising approach for tissue-specific regeneration by preserving the native extracellular matrix (ECM) architecture and biochemical cues essential for guiding cellular behavior. Through the removal of cellular components while retaining the complex 3D microenvironment, these biological scaffolds support cell attachment, proliferation, and differentiation in a tissue-specific manner. In cardiac tissue engineering, decellularized heart matrices can promote the regeneration of functional myocardium through the development of biocompatible patches that allow the alignment and contractility of cardiomyocytes.  The decellularized pancreatic tissue, can facilitate the delivery and viability of insulin-producing islets, addressing challenges in diabetes treatment. Their biocompatibility, reduced immunogenicity, and potential for patient-specific applications make them a viable alternative to synthetic scaffolds, aligning with the principles of regenerative medicine and sustainable biomedical innovation.
