Welcome to Católica: the dream begins now

From 28 August to 26 September, Universidade Católica Portuguesa is organising a range of welcome activities for new students who will be starting their university studies in Lisbon, Porto, Braga and Viseu in 2025-26.

As diverse as the courses themselves, the activities include sunset parties, volunteering, and adventure. The welcome begins on 28 August with the Welcome Day at the Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics and continues on the 29th and 30th with ‘Restolho,’ which celebrates a decade, and a sunset party on a rooftop in Lisbon.

At the Lisbon Campus (Headquarters), new students at the Faculty of Human Sciences will be greeted with a welcome session, a volunteering activity and more surprises on 1 and 2 September. The following day, it will be the turn of new Law students, with a welcome programme that culminates on 5 September with a Team Building activity at Adventure Park, Jamor.

To welcome new Nursing and Neuroscience students, the School of Nursing and the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing are organising a guided tour of the campus, featuring a performance by Paulituna.

On 8 September, the Institute for Political Studies will begin its welcome activities with a Welcome Garden Party featuring a DJ on the lawn of the headquarters. During the same week, we will welcome Católica's future doctors with the Welcome Week & Weekend, from 9 to 14 September. In addition to visiting the Simulation Centre of our clinical partner, Hospital da Luz, students will also have the opportunity to visit the new facilities of the Faculty of Medicine.

Two days later, the Pro-Rector of Católica, Isabel Braga da Cruz, welcomes all new students. At the same time, Empower Week takes place, designed to integrate new students at Católica Porto Business School.

On 10 September, Católica's Porto Regional Centre is organising a volunteer activity open to students from different courses on campus: ‘Ser+ Ambiente: Católica Students in Action’, a special conservation mission, thinking about the future, in an area next to the Sousa River (Gondomar) that has great natural and cultural value.
