Universidade Católica launches Mental Health Service in Lisbon

On World Mental Health Day, October 10, the Universidade Católica Portuguesa launches, at its headquarters in Lisbon, a structured mental health service, with specialists in psychiatry and psychology from the Católica Medical School and Faculty of Human Sciences.

This program will offer students:

  • Consultations (first one free, rest at the student's expense);
  • Workshops;
  • Production of informative content.

The existence of a proximity service, which responds to situations related to emotional problems such as anxiety, depression, stress, among others, which have gained particular prominence in the pandemic and post-pandemic period, is considered essential.

To work on the issue of mental health at UCP, a working group was set up, led by the Social Responsibility Office, in partnership with the Faculty of Human Sciences, the Institute of Health Sciences and the Faculty of Medicine, with the main objective of designing and implementing an effective response in this area.
