Universidade Católica joins the "Golden September" initiative

During Golden September, International Paediatric Cancer Awareness Month, students from the Biomedical Sciences Degree at UCP mobilised the entire community of the Faculty of Dental Medicine at Universidade Católica around this cause.

The movement is promoted by the Acreditar Association - Association of Parents and Friends of Children with Cancer and the golden ribbon is a symbol of the strength, courage and resilience of children, adolescents and young people diagnosed with cancer.   

All over the country, Golden Moments are multiplying, with the aim of raising awareness of the reality of paediatric cancer and its impact on families, which can be linked to a fundraiser in favour of Acreditar.

In addition to the golden ribbon, Católica's Biomedical Sciences students included Xi-Coração, the mascot of the Rui Osório de Castro Foundation, a leading institution in the field of paediatric oncology, in their event.
