U-Multirank gives maximum score to Universidade Católica Portuguesa in 10 indicators
The Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) obtained a "Very Good" classification in 10 indicators and a "Good" classification in another 10 indicators, in the 2021 edition of U-Multirank, which evaluated more than 1900 universities from 97 countries, through 30 indicators.
In this most recent edition of the ranking, released today, the excellent performance obtained by UCP in the areas of research, knowledge transfer, international orientation and regional involvement should be highlighted, with maximum scores in 10 indicators:

- Professional publications
- Interdisciplinary publications
- Post-doc positions
- Income from private sources
- Regional joint publications
- Income from continuous professional development
- International academic staff
- Student mobility
- Master graduates working in the region
U-Multirank compares the performance of higher education institutions in the different activities in which each university is involved, through 30 indicators, divided into 5 performance areas: teaching and learning; research; knowledge transfer; international orientation; regional engagement.
Created in 2008, with the support of the European Commission, this project led by the Center for Higher Education (CHE), the Center for Higher Education Policy Studies (CHEPS), and the Center for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS), does not produce an individual rating for each university, nor ranking tables, evaluating universities on a scale from "very good" to "poor".
Also in September 2021, and for the 3rd consecutive year, another prestigious international ranking confirmed the consistency of the work of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in offering excellent university education. In its edition for the year 2022, Times Higher Education - THE placed UCP in 1st place among the 12 national higher education institutions evaluated.
