Professor at FCSE and Escola de Enfermagem (Lisboa) on the editorial team of two prestigious international journals in the field of Rehabilitation Nursing

Rafael Bernardes, Professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing and the School of Nursing (Lisbon), was recently invited to join the editorial team of two prestigious international scientific journals, reinforcing the academy's performance in producing and disseminating knowledge of excellence in the field of Rehabilitation Nursing.

Rafael Bernardes is currently Associate Editor of the journal Clinical Medicine Insights: Case Reports, published by SAGE, an internationally recognized platform for the dissemination of relevant clinical studies. At the same time, he is also Guest Editor of a special edition of the journal BMC Nursing, dedicated to the theme of "Rehabilitation Nursing", in collaboration with Drs. Rogério Ferrinho Ferreira (Polytechnic Institute of Beja) and César Fonseca (University of Évora).

Call for Papers

This special issue aims to highlight innovative research that explores emerging practices, the use of technologies, personalized care strategies and the psychosocial aspects of rehabilitation. The aim is to inform and improve care models, promoting more effective recovery and a better quality of life for patients.

Submission of articles for this special issue of BMC Nursing is now open. Papers exploring:

  1. New practices and interventions in rehabilitation nursing
  2. Integration of technologies in the care process
  3. Person-centered care strategies
  4. Psychosocial and cultural dimensions in the rehabilitation process
  5. Applied research with clinical and social impact

Researchers, teachers, health professionals and doctoral students are encouraged to participate. Submission can be made directly through the journal's platform.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of the field and to the recognition of the work carried out at the Portuguese Catholic University by health professionals in Portugal.
