Meet the winners of the contest “The European Union in my life”
The contest "The European Union in my life" promoted a critical reflection on policies, activities, peoples and cultures, as well as memories of people and spaces in the European Union.
The competition, aimed at bachelor’s degree students, comes from the joint initiative of the European Documentation Centre (EDC) in Portugal with the support of the Representation of the European Commission in Portugal.
In this edition, the following students were awarded:
- Maria Inês Faria, Faculty of Education and Psychology (UCP-Porto);
- Rita Belo Vieira, Faculty of Human Sciences (UCP-Lisbon);
- Tomás Carvalho Guerra, Faculty of Law (UCP-Porto);
- Weng Sam Lou, Faculty of Human Sciences (UCP-Lisbon).
The winners will receive a visit to the European institutions in Brussels, where they will be able to learn more about the dynamics and functioning of the European Union.

Católica Medical School Library hosts “Bomb Shadows: Hiroshima-Nagasaki” exhibition
The exhibition will be open until December 19 at the Católica Medical School Library. As part of the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the atomic bomb, Bomb Shadows brings together testimonies from survivors and an installation of tsurus, a universal symbol of hope and peace.
