Católica ranked in the top national for internationalisation and employability in the QS World University Rankings 2026

Universidade Católica Portuguesa is in the top 3 in Portugal for International Students and International Diversity and in the top 4 for International Teaching Staff, according to the latest edition of the renowned QS World University Rankings.

In addition to its solid internationalisation, Católica also stands out in terms of employability, ranking in the top 4 in the country in the Employer Reputation and Employment Outcomes parameters, which assess the recognition and impact of graduates on the labour market.

On a global level, the Universidade Católica also achieved a significant performance, rising from the 901-950 bracket to the 781-790 bracket. In this way, it was the Portuguese university with the greatest improvement on the previous year's ranking, consolidating its presence among the best universities in the world.

In its 22nd annual edition, the QS World University Rankings evaluates more than 1,500 universities from 105 higher education systems around the world and incorporates the opinions of more than 151,000 academics and 100,000 employers.

It analyses the performance of universities at a global level, based on six main indicators, to reflect the quality of teaching and research, the degree of internationalisation and their global attractiveness: academic reputation, reputation among employers, the ratio of lecturers to students, citations per lecturer, the percentage of international lecturers and the percentage of international students.
