CATÓLICA-LISBON Alumnus Wins the Web Summit 2025 Pitch Competition

Granter.ai, the company founded by CATÓLICA-LISBON alumnus Bernardo Seixas, has won the Web Summit 2025 Pitch, one of the most prestigious international competitions for early-stage startups. In addition to securing the public vote, with an impressive 80% approval rate, Granter.ai also received the highest score from the jury.

This year’s competition, which annually showcases some of the world’s most promising technological ideas, brought together 2,725 startups, of which only 105 advanced to the final rounds held over three days at the Web Summit.

The project distinguished itself through the clarity of its model and the relevance of the solution it offers the market: an intelligent assistant designed to reduce bureaucracy and streamline access to public funding. The technology identifies financing opportunities, swiftly analyses eligibility criteria and supports the preparation of applications, making the entire process faster, more accurate and more accessible to companies of different sizes.

Granter.ai has already raised 400 thousand euros in investment, including 50 thousand euros from the AngelWays fund, and joined the American accelerator Techstars this year. The company was featured in the first season of the podcast Negócios com Impacto in 2024, which you can listen to here (content in Portuguese).
