Católica in the global TOP 5 in the goal to promote "Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions" in THE Impact Rankings

The Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) is among the 5 best performing institutions in the Sustainable Development Goal for the promotion of "Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions" (SDG 16), maintaining its overall position in the ranking (301-400).

In the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2022, composed of the 17 goals for sustainable development (SDGs), Católica is in the global Top 5 in Strategic Development Goal 16 - Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions (SDG 16).

UCP moved up 25 positions in relation to last year, in an ODS that registered an increase in the number of participating institutions to 809 (156 more than the previous year).

This is one of the 17 goals set out in the United Nations 2030 agenda to promote a peaceful and inclusive society with universal access to justice and the existence of effective, responsible and inclusive institutions at all levels.

The ranking published by Times Higher Education, counted this year with the participation of 1,406 institutions (an increase of 22%), with the consequent growth of the level of competitiveness.

The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings aim to assess the social impact of actions developed by universities, tackling issues such as gender inequality, quality education, climate change, world peace and economic growth.
