Alma Mater: New magazine by Católica University is now online

Universidade Católica Portuguesa publishes the first issue of the Alma Mater (AM) magazine online, launched by UCP in February 2022.

The biannual magazine "showcases the present and future of Católica", as Paulo Campos Pinto, director of AM, states. The publication gathers articles, stories and interviews with academic community members, such as alumni, faculty, staff, students, researchers and partners.

"From the Latin anima mater, the idea of a "nourishing mother" has always been current enough to claim and celebrate university students' feeling of filial belonging to the common institution they have graduated from. With a history that spans more than half a century, Católica is the alma mater of one of the most relevant communities in Portugal and in the world", the director explains.

AM's contents aspire to an assertive, distinctive communication that is notably predicated upon the visual and enables the showcasing of Católica's venture in its several guises: human capital, comprehensive education, high-quality performance, production of distinctive, value-based knowledge, transformative research, global impact, sustainability, and social responsibility.
