Talk "The Book is Dead. Long Live the Book!"
Thursday, March 30, 2023 - 19:00
Auditório | Goethe-Institut Lisboa
The 1st session of the cycle of conversations "The future of knowledge", organised by Católica and the Goethe-Institut, will take place on 30 March, from 7 p.m.
In the conversation "The Book is Dead. Long Live the Book!", Gerhard Lauer and Isabel Alçada will talk about the future of reading and books, under the moderation of Peter Hanenberg, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation at Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
What changes will digitisation bring to the world of books and reading? What are young and old reading, how are publishers and bookshops dealing with digital challenges, and what new paths are being blazed by digital platforms? These are some of the questions that the speakers will seek to answer.
