Science Communication Workshop | Abstract accepted: And now what?

On 16 and 17 December 2025, the University of Alicante is organising the workshop ‘Science Communication Workshop: Abstract accepted: And now what? Non-verbal strategies and effective language use in conference talks’, with the participation of José A. Sánchez Fajardo.

The course will take place in person at the University of Alicante, Spain, from 8h30 to 10h30 in both sessions.

This Transform4Europe course aims to support researchers in communicating their work clearly, professionally, and persuasively to diverse audiences. Effective dissemination of research depends not only on the quality of the content, but also on how the message is structured and presented.

 

Programme:

• First session – 16 December, 8h30 - 10h30

“And now what? Non-verbal strategies for impactful presentations”
Exploration of non-verbal and visual elements of scientific communication, such as posture, gestures, eye contact, and slide design.

• Second session – 17 December, 8h30 - 10h30

“And now what? Effective use of language in conference presentations”
Guidance on verbal and written English for presentations and abstracts, with practical strategies for conveying your message clearly and effectively.

The two sessions provide practical and transferable tools to increase the impact and visibility of your academic work.
