Interactive Session with Prof. Seeram Ramakrishna

On 18 June, the Faculty of Biotechnology (ESB) of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa and the Centre for Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry (CBQF) will host Professor Seeram Ramakrishna, one of the world's most prominent figures in the field of biomedical engineering and advanced materials.
A professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS) - one of the top three universities in the world for interdisciplinary research - Seeram Ramakrishna is internationally recognised as one of the "World's Most Influential Scientific Minds" (Thomson Reuters) and is a Highly Ranked Scholar by ScholarGPS. He has more than 500 publications in Q1 journals, an H-index of 213 and around 212,800 citations. He is also an Honorary Professor at Tsinghua University (China) and the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (India).
Throughout his career, he has contributed significantly to the advancement of knowledge in nanomaterials, namely nanofibres, and how they respond to biological, chemical, mechanical and electronic stimuli, with applications in the biomedical sector. He made seminal contributions in understanding and enhancing the biological, chemical, electrical, electronic, mechanical, and physical responses of nanofibers nanomaterials.
