Is sleep easy? Henrique Prata Ribeiro demystifies sleep in the new episode of Mindcast

In the fifth episode of MindCast, Católica's mental health podcast, we invited Henrique Prata Ribeiro, psychiatrist, professor at Católica Medical School and co-author of the book ‘Sleeping is Easy’, for a fundamental conversation about sleep: a fundamental biological function, but one that few people really understand.

Led by Sofia Torneiro, a student at the Universidade Católica, this talk helps to clarify common doubts: what is the ideal number of hours of sleep? Why do you wake up several times during the night? Is sleeping late and waking up late the same as going to bed early? Are naps good or bad?

Throughout the episode, Henrique Prata Ribeiro deconstructs myths, identifies warning signs to look out for and explains, in a simple and practical way, how to improve your sleep routine. He also addresses issues such as insomnia, the use of melatonin and the importance of so-called ‘sleep hygiene’.
