Productions by School of Arts selected for Curtas Vila do Conde

The festival Curtas de Vila do Conde 2022, which takes place from 9 to 17 July, has a strong representation of the School of Arts (EA), Porto Regional Centre. The documentary "Enquanto Houver Ovelhas", by João Pinto, Cinema student, will be competing in the Take One! - section, which chooses the best films made in film schools. The short film Aos Dezasseis, by professor Carlos Lobo, which had its premiere at the 72nd edition of the Berlinale, is in the National and International Competition.

There are also four films by EA alumni in competition: Garrano (by David Doutel and Vasco Sá), O casaco rosa (by Mónica Santos), Raticida (by João Niza Ribeiro) and Saturno (by Luís Costa, André Guiomar).

The films Against Time, by Ben Russel, resident artist at EA in 2021, and Your weight in gold, by Sandro Aguilar, visiting artist in 2022/2023, stand out. Also in competition is the work Mangrove School, by Sónia Vaz Borges and Filipa César, artists who exhibited at Escola das Artes in 2021
