President of Católica discusses “The Future of Women’s Leadership” at Sophia University

Isabel Capeloa Gil, President of Universidade Católica, will discuss what can be done to promote and raise awareness to the importance of women’s leadership and empowerment in Japan in the webinar “The Future of Women’s Leadership”, organized by Sophia University (Sophia), during a visit to the partner institution, on October 5.

Organized by Sophia, partner of Universidade Católica in the context of the Strategic Alliance for Catholic Research Universities (SACRU), this webinar will count on the participation of Miki Sugimura, Professor of the Faculty of Human Sciences at Sophia and moderated by Makiko Deguchi, Director of the Center for Global Education and Discovery of Sophia.

Recently granted a Honoris Causa by the Australian Catholic University, Isabel Capeloa Gil, guest panelist on the webinar, is also the first female President of the International Federation of Catholic Universities (FIUC), and member of the Board of Directors of the European Women Rectors Association (EWORA).

The invitation to participate in this webinar follows the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two Universities and the institutional visit to the headquarters of Católica, in Lisboa, last March.
