New rectoral team takes office at the ceremony of Isabel Capeloa Gil's reappointment as Rector of UCP

Prof. Isabel Maria de Oliveira Capeloa Gil, was reappointed as Rector of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, for the four-year period 2020-2024, in a ceremony held on October 23. This investiture ceremony also included the inauguration of the new Rectoral Team. 

The outgoing Rector Team includes Prof. Miguel Athayde Marques, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development, Prof. José Manuel Pereira de Almeida, Vice-Rector for Social Responsibility and Academic Pastoral, Prof. Fernando Ferreira Pinto, Vice-Rector for Legal Affairs and Dr. Helena Brissos de Almeida as Administrator.
Three new Vice-Chancellors are part of this team and, for the first time, the Presidents of the UCP Regional Centers are appointed Pro-Rectors.  

Thus, the following are now part of the Research and Editorial Affairs team. Prof. Doctor Peter Heinrich Hanenberg, current Director of the Doctoral School of the University and Associate Professor of the Faculty of Human Sciences; with the portfolio of Global Education and Pedagogical Innovation takes over the Prof. Doctor Maria Isabel Andrade Mendes de Vasconcelos, Associate Professor of the Biotechnology School and current Director of that unit and finally, Professor Margarida Isabel Mano Tavares Simões Lopes, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra and currently a guest Assistant Professor at UCP, which assumes the portfolio of Vice-Rector for Quality, Innovation and Development. 

Prof. Doutor Aires Pereira do Couto, who will perform the administration functions of the Regional Center of Viseu, Prof. Doutor João Manuel Correia Rodrigues Duque, with administration functions of the Regional Center of Braga, and Prof. Maria Isabel Filipe de Oliveira Braga da Cruz Guimarães, who is in charge of the management of the Regional Center of Oporto, take office as Pro-Rectors.
