Netflix's first original Portuguese production has the signature of Pedro Lopes, professor at FCH

"Glória", Netflix's first original Portuguese production, has the signature of Pedro Lopes, professor of the Scriptwriting Workshop of the Master in Communication Sciences and Advanced Training in Audiovisual: production, distribution and consumption and former student of the Faculdade de Ciências Humanas (FCH).

Produced by SPi production company of SP Televisão Group and co-produced with RTP, Glória has an original script by Pedro Lopes, one of the authors of the series "Auga Seca" and several soap operas, and directed by Tiago Guedes, who directed "A Herdade", a film distinguished one year ago in the Venice Festival.

"Gloria" will be recorded in the region of Ribatejo and in Lisbon. The series takes place in the 60s, at the height of the Cold War, in the small village of Glória do Ribatejo, where RARET is located, an American broadcasting center that broadcasts Western propaganda for the Eastern Bloc. João Vidal, an engineer from families connected to the Estado Novo but recruited by the KGB, will take on several high-risk spy missions that could change the course of Portuguese and world history.

The series will feature Portuguese and international actors, with emphasis on Miguel Nunes, Carolina Amaral, Victoria Guerra, Afonso Pimentel (former student of the Degree in Social and Cultural Communication Studies at FCH), Adriano Luz, Joana Ribeiro, Marcelo Urgeghe, Sandra Faleiro, Carloto Cotta, Maria João Pinho, Inês Castel-Branco, Rafael Morais and Leonor Silveira.
