LAST CALL: Católica offers 14 scholarships to refugees

Universidade Católica Portuguesa has opened applications for its scholarship programme for refugees. A total of 14 spots are available for bachelor's and master's programmes in Lisbon, Porto, Braga and Viseu, with full tuition waivers.

The programme, which is running for the 4th consecutive year, is aimed at students in a humanitarian emergency, with supporting documents.

Applications run from 10 to 28 February, with the exception of the Integrated Master's in Medicine, which runs from 7 February to 12 June.
 

To apply, follow these steps:

 - Document proving the humanitarian emergency situation;

 - Identification document;

 - High school certificate and final exams, translated into Portuguese or English;

 - Curriculum Vitae;

 - Motivation letter, in Portuguese or English;

 - If you have already attended higher education: certificate of coursework completed, translated into Portuguese and/or English.

- Declaration of honour that you are eligible as an ‘international student’.

The results of the applications will be announced on March 28.


This programme is part of the national effort to welcome and integrate refugees and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposed by the United Nations. The Refugee Student Support Initiative has been recognised as a Good Practice by the Global Compact on Refugees.
