Interview Phase for Católica Medical School Candidates now taking place

The first day of interviews for candidates to the first academic year of the Medicine course of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa took place last Saturday, on June 12, in Lisbon.

On this day about 30 candidates were interviewed by teachers of the Católica Medical School. The interviews with the candidates will be repeated on Saturdays throughout the month of June, to select the students who will join the academic year that begins on September 13, at the renovated Sintra campus.

The selection process is innovative in Portugal, as it is not based only on the marks obtained in high school and in the national entrance examinations. To evaluate the candidates, a portfolio and a set of mini-interviews, now underway, conducted by several professors, will also be considered, with a weighting of 15%. This is an innovative interview process, the multiple mini-interviews, and that aligns the Católica Medical School with the best practices of the world's great medical schools.
